今年夏完成予定の天井画は縦約２４メートル、横１４メートルの大作です。テーマは『生命への感謝』天上界を表現しようと中国神話に登場する四神や龍、女神などを描いています。工藤 耀日は今回、「体育館全体を１つの芸術作品にしたい」との思いから天井画の制作を決めました。２０１３年に１００歳をむかえた母親、ハナさんへのお祝いの意味もあり、母の姿を重ねて女神を描いています。（２０１５年１月７日山梨日日新聞より引用）

Ceiling painting(24m x 14m) will be completed this summer.by depicting the four cardinal patron gods (northen ,southen, easten, westen) in four corners and dragons in the middle and goddesses playing musical instrumets on left and right sides -- the celestia region appearing in Chinese mythology to express joy and gratitude of life. ‘I want to make a whole piece of art inside the gymnasium” and “ my mother hannah, who will be 103 years old this summer, will be glad to see it.”.
